Upholstery Services

It is easy for us to advise you on buying new furniture, we specify some of the best products on the market but there are many times when replacing existing furniture simply isn't an option. And with this in mind, we are able to offer a full range of upholstery services to meet your individual needs.

From individual chairs and sofas, reception seating and bar stools, through to large scale projects such as theatres and auditoriums, we are able to fully renovate, replace and fully restore most upholstery.

Some of our recent work has included a complete refurbishment of the South Bank Centre in London which involved the removal, refurbishment and replacement of 1200 individual seats.

Our services include leather repairs and recovering, replace damaged panels and re-colour to match rest of furniture where possible. We can replace corner units, window seating and chair caning. On site repairs and restorations will be carried out where possible or professionally removed for work offsite.

As highly experienced upholsterers we work with quality fabrics to give you the best results for your furniture. Available are a wide range of fabrics such as dralon velvet, chenilles, tweeds, tapestries, damasks, moquettes, ambla in swatches with brand names like Camira Fabrics, Kvadrat, Panaz, Covertex, John Singleton, Lewis & Co and Agua.

Trimmings are available to compliment these fabrics. Leather and suede swatches are also available in many colour-ways, textures and finishes supplied by Andrew Muirhead, The UK Hide Co, Bridge of Weir. Or if you wish you can supply your own suitable upholstery fabric. We will do our absolute best to help you with sourcing illusive colours and materials to ensure your re-upholstering is both sympathetic and accurate.

Traditional Craftsmanship

Our Upholstery team is led by Phil Emmons, who is a true traditional craftsman in every sense of the word. Phil prides himself on high quality skilled workmanship and uses only the best traditional materials and techniques for his work.

There is truly no limit to Phil's expertise and experience, and some of his more unusual work has involved upholstery on boats, horse drawn carriages, vintage cars, helicopters and even light aircraft!
